Things gone mad

So I appeared in The Daily Mail on Thursday and by Thursday afternoon I had been contacted by GMTV, asking me to go on their show, asked for 4 radio interviews over the next 2 days, Asked to go on Lorraine Kelly, asked for an article by Now magazine, Bella magazine, journalists ringing my mobie number!!! O My God! I had a car pick me up Thursday evening to take me to Radio 5 live and had a really good interview there with someone from The Mirror phoning in saying hats off to me!
I had a look on The Daily Mail website and the commrnts on there about my article were so positive! I am so glad people have understood the concept of my project. I am not trying to become famous...I am a graphic designer, I am just exploring how the media works in today's society. As I am writing this I have just had a phonecall from my local newspaper asking me to do an article with them too. Funny how before I hit the Daily Mail I was being turned down for articles and now they are fighting over an exclusive by topping each others bids!

Amazing project! The whole concept of fame is very interesting indeed. It shows that if you can come up with an original idea and dogged determination it is possible to gain media attention. So you have done remarkably well and I like others applaud you. Sometimes its remarkable what you can achieve by just asking. I have found your journey especially interesting because recently I have been trying to gain fame for a wartime story written by my father in law entitled Alone I Fly. He came up with the idea (he is 85 and a bit frail these days) of writing to his famous namesake Bill Bailey with a copy of the book. We were delighted when Bill not only responded to say he had read and enjoyed it but even left a review of the book on his own website. Sadly our moment of fame didnt last too long and the title again languishes on our own website awaiting the recognition it so deserves!

So good luck and no doubt now you will be as famous as long as you want!
